Eton Academy had a temporary new Head of School, in fifth grade student Sam Lotzoff, on Thursday, May 24th. In preparation for his Head of School duties, Sam prepared every details thoughtfully and meticulously bringing a theme of "random acts of kindness" to the forefront.
During his day, Sam greeted other students, worked to ensure students who might need a brain break and some time to build friendships could do so, and put together kindness buckets that included treats, positive affirmations, and homework passes.
He also designed some marketing and communication materials to help students and faculty be aware of what was to come on his special day.
"Families are able to bid on the Head of School for the Day experience at our annual gala and auction. This opportunity is not only fun for the students who participate, but also help cultivate leadership skills and an awareness of how the school works between administration, teachers, students, families and the community at large," stated Pete Pullen, Eton's permanent Head of School.
