Part-Time Homework Tutors Monday Evenings & Saturday Afternoons

The Hartmann-Eton Center for Teaching and Learning’s NextDayAfter School Program provides support to students and their families. Through the NextDayTM curriculum, students become engaged in after school learning; understand and complete homework; and gain effective organizational and learning strategies in a structured and supportive environment.

Openings in our NextDayTM program are waiting to be filled by individuals who are passionate about education, who want to assist students strengthen their homework skills, and who want to promote overall student success.

Ideal candidates need to possess:
● Bachelor’s Degree
● Certified Teachers preferred
● Experience in a school setting
● A passion for teaching and instruction
● Kindness, compassion and enthusiasm
● A commitment to supporting students

Schedule: Located in the Parkman Branch of the Detroit Public Library
Available to work with a group of students from September through June. Mondays 4-6 p.m. Saturdays 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. and one-on-one tutoring from 1-2 p.m.

Wage: $15 – $20 per hour depending on experience
