Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Eton

Eton Academy is committed to creating a community that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive.  As a school that serves students who learn differently, accepting, celebrating, and leveraging differences are fundamental to the school’s mission. Eton welcomes, embraces, and celebrates differences.  Eton believes that the best decisions are made when they are collaborative in nature and participants are diverse.  Eton defines diversity, equity, and inclusion as follows:

Inclusion: Eton strives to create a community where everyone feels included, known, safe, valued, and respected.

Diversity: Eton defines differences in the broadest sense and strives to build a community that reflects this expansive view, which includes, but is not limited to, race; religion; social-economic status, learning style; age; ethnicity; gender; gender identity, and orientation; language differences; nationality; parental status; physical and developmental abilities; skin color; the perspectives of each individual, experiences, and culture.

Equity:  Eton develops its policies, practices, and resources so that all members of the community have the opportunity to thrive, self-reflect, and grow.
